เมื่อวันที่ 15 ธันวาคม 2568 มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ร่วมกับโรงพยาบาลศูนย์การแพทย์มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง จัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมสุขภาพสื่อมวลชนจังหวัดเชียงราย เพื่อแสดงความขอบคุณสื่อมวลชนที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการเผยแพร่ข่าวสารและพันธกิจของมหาวิทยาลัย พร้อมให้บริการตรวจสุขภาพและคำปรึกษาทางการแพทย์ ณ ห้องประชุมประจวบ ภิรมย์ภักดี ชั้น 6 โรงพยาบาลศูนย์การแพทย์มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง
กิจกรรมดังกล่าวได้รับเกียรติจาก ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.มัชฌิมา นราดิศร อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง เป็นประธานเปิดงาน พร้อมด้วย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ร่มเย็น โกไศยกานนท์ รองอธิการบดี พญ.พิตะวัน ราชตา รักษาการแทนรองผู้อำนวยการกลุ่มงานการแพทย์ และ พทป.พัชรพรรณ แสงอินทร์ รักษาการแทนหัวหน้างานการแพทย์บูรณาการ ร่วมให้ข้อมูลด้านการให้บริการสุขภาพของมหาวิทยาลัย
ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.มัชฌิมา นราดิศร กล่าวว่า โรงพยาบาลศูนย์การแพทย์มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงเป็นโรงพยาบาลของประชาชนชาวเชียงราย ก่อสร้างด้วยงบประมาณรวมกว่า 4,000 ล้านบาท จากงบประมาณแผ่นดินและการบริจาคของประชาชน เพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตและการเข้าถึงบริการทางการแพทย์อย่างเท่าเทียม
อธิการบดีระบุว่า พันธกิจสำคัญคือการรับใช้ประชาชน โดยเริ่มจากจังหวัดเชียงราย ก่อนขยายบริการสู่จังหวัดใกล้เคียงและอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง ตามแนวคิดของศาสตราจารย์พิเศษ ดร.วันชัย ศิริชนะ อธิการบดีผู้ก่อตั้งและนายกสภามหาวิทยาลัย ที่ยึดหลักการว่า “จะไม่มีผู้ป่วยคนใดถูกปฏิเสธการรักษาเพราะความยากจน”
ทั้งนี้ ด้วยบริบทของจังหวัดเชียงรายซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ชายแดนที่มีความสำคัญเชิงยุทธศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงจึงมองบทบาทด้านการแพทย์มากกว่าการรักษาโรค โดยบูรณาการการศึกษาและสาธารณสุข เพื่อสร้างความเป็นอยู่ที่ดี ความเข้าใจ และความร่วมมืออย่างยั่งยืนในอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง
ปัจจุบัน มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงให้บริการด้านสุขภาพภายใต้แนวคิด 3Ps ได้แก่ Promotion, Prevention และ Prediction ผ่านศูนย์บริการสุขภาพแบบครบวงจร คลินิกทันตกรรม โรงพยาบาลศูนย์การแพทย์มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง คลินิกพิเศษโดยแพทย์เฉพาะทาง และบริการบูรณาการแพทย์ปัจจุบันกับแพทย์แผนไทยและแพทย์แผนจีน
นอกจากนี้ ยังดำเนินโครงการแพทย์อาสาบรมราชกุมารี เพื่อเพิ่มโอกาสการเข้าถึงบริการทางการแพทย์ในพื้นที่ทุรกันดาร พร้อมพัฒนาศักยภาพบุคลากรและยกระดับมาตรฐานสู่สากล ผ่านความร่วมมือกับสถาบันชั้นนำทั้งในและต่างประเทศ
ในระยะ 5 ปีข้างหน้า (พ.ศ. 2569–2573) มหาวิทยาลัยมีแผนขยายบริการทางการแพทย์เฉพาะทางเพิ่มเติม รวมถึงการจัดตั้งศูนย์แพทยศาสตรศึกษาชั้นคลินิก และการขยายเครือข่ายความร่วมมือไปยังประเทศเพื่อนบ้านในอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง
มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงมุ่งพัฒนาสู่การเป็นศูนย์การแพทย์ระดับภูมิภาคลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง ด้วยพลังความร่วมมือจากทุกภาคส่วน ภายใต้แนวคิด “Driving Force for Well-Being and Sustainable Future” เพื่อสร้างความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีและอนาคตที่ยั่งยืนของประชาชนในภูมิภาค
On December 15, 2025, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), in collaboration with MFU Medical Center Hospital, organized a health promotion activity for Chiang Rai media representatives to express appreciation for their important role in disseminating news and the university’s mission. The event also provided health screenings and medical consultations at the Prachuap Bhirombhakdi Meeting Room, 6th Floor, MFU Medical Center Hospital.
The event was presided over by Assistant Professor Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, President of Mae Fah Luang University. Participants included Assistant Professor Dr. Romyen Kosaikanont, Vice President; Dr. Pitawan Rajchata, Acting Deputy Director of the Medical Services Group; and Dr. Patcharaphan Saeng-in, Acting Head of the Integrative Medicine Unit, who jointly provided information on MFU’s healthcare services.
Assistant Professor Dr. Matchima Naradisorn stated that MFU Medical Center Hospital was established as a hospital for the people of Chiang Rai, with a total investment of over 4 billion baht from government funding and public donations, aimed at improving quality of life and ensuring equitable access to healthcare services.
The President emphasized that the university’s core mission is to serve the public, beginning in Chiang Rai and gradually expanding services to neighboring provinces and the Mekong Subregion. This mission follows the principle of Professor Emeritus Dr. Vanchai Sirichana, Founding President and Chairman of the University Council, that “no patient should ever be denied medical care due to poverty.”
Given Chiang Rai’s strategic border location, Mae Fah Luang University views healthcare as extending beyond disease treatment. The university integrates education and public health to promote well-being, mutual understanding, and sustainable cooperation throughout the Mekong Subregion.
Currently, MFU provides healthcare services under the 3Ps framework—Promotion, Prevention, and Prediction—through comprehensive health service centers, dental clinics, MFU Medical Center Hospital, specialized medical clinics, and integrated services combining modern medicine with Thai and Chinese traditional medicine.
In addition, the university operates the Princess Mother Medical Volunteer Program to expand access to healthcare services in remote areas, while enhancing workforce capacity and elevating standards to the international level through collaboration with leading institutions both domestically and internationally.
Over the next five years (2026–2030), MFU plans to expand specialized medical services, establish a Clinical Medical Education Center, and extend its collaborative network to neighboring countries within the Mekong Subregion.
